Rihanna Viva Glam 2 Lipstick Review!

I'm back super soon, aren't I? Ha, I have so many posts lined up and I want to get them all on here so I can make room for new posts! I have so many plans for this blog this upcoming year such as a new template, design and new types of posts, so that will be exciting.

However, I finallllly got my hands on the Rihanna Viva Glam 2 lipstick and I have not been able to stop wearing this color. I'm seriously obsessed. It's just so sexy. This isn't much of a big post, but I just wanted to show you guys how pretty it is and gush over how much I love it, so here we go!

The packaging is SO cute. I love her signature on the box, and the lipstick actually feels kind of velvet-y. It's so chic which I love. I also love that it's not the standard black packaging. It makes it stand out.

As you can see from the swatch, it's like a pewter color. It's different but I love it. Every time I wear it, someone compliments it. I definitely say run out and grab this color, you will not regret it. I have some makeup look tutorials to do with this color coming really soon so stay tuned!

New Body Shop Products & Reviews!

Happy New Year everyone!

Hello 2015!

I hope everyone had an amazing new year!!I am so sorry for my hiatus, but the last time I posted started finals week and I had just started my new job and had very little time for blogging, let alone much computer use that wasn't school work. I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and I hope everyone has a great new year! I had big plans for holiday nail, outfit and makeup posts, but unfortunately most of my winter break was spent working long shifts and when I got home, I just wanted to relax truthfully. However, I've been off for a few days and just recently got back from visiting out of town family. I plan to jump back into blogging like I was, and I do have a bunch of exciting posts coming up, they probably won't be all at once though. Also in the summer of 2015 after I'm completely done with undergrad, I plan to start a Youtube beauty channel after I get a new computer and camera, so definitely be on the lookout for that! But, let's get to the good stuff!

I started working at The Body Shop in November and I started as seasonal, but it looks like I'm staying, so yay! The Body Shop has a bunch of great body care and skin care products as well as great makeup products. Since I just started working there, I have started using some of the products and I absolutely love them. I wanted to do this post weeks ago, but I never got the chance. I have a few more products that won't be in this post that I want to talk about though. So let's jump into the reviews!

The first items I got were two body butters in the shea and almond fragrances, camomile eye makeup remover, tea tree skin clearing facial wash, a bronze lipstick, and the all-in-one skin tone adapting BB cream in the 04 shade. I love all of the products so much and when they run out I will be purchasing again.

I'll start with the body butters first. The body butters are just like lotion, but a bit thicker and heavier. The shea is definitely the most moisturizing one out of all of our body butters, but all body butters have guaranteed 24 hour moisture. The shea is one of the most neutral scents, but it still smells amazing and is one of our top sellers. I recommend this fragrance to all customers just about. The almond has a very soft vanilla scent to it and is also another popular body butter. I also have the almond hand and nail cream which is seriously amaaaaazing. It's great to throw in your bag and it keeps your hands constantly moisturized. Also let me add that our products are all natural and we use community fair trade ingredients from countries all around the world. All of these products that I'm mentioning are so worth it.

Now moving on to the tea tree skin clearing facial wash which I love so much-- seriously it works. For the most part I have pretty clear skin and don't really get breakouts or serious acne, but I do have some blemishes on my forehead that are not super dark anymore, but I do want them completely gone. I started using this and pairing it with a sample I had of the tea tree blemish fade night lotion and in the short month that I have been doing that, I can already tell the difference. They're getting much lighter and I can't wait to see the results by continuing the use. It leaves a little tingle when you use it which I also like. The tea tree skin care line is great for blemished skin, or skin prone to breakouts because it will fight the breakouts and reduce the frequency of them, and there are all the products are great for helping to get rid of those blemishes. It seriously works, definitely check it out!

I still have mixed feelings on the BB cream truthfully. I think the main reason I like it so much is because it adapts to the color of your skin tone. It comes out of the tube white, but when you blend it, it adapts to your skin complexion which I think it pretty cool. Truthfully I'm not sure if I would buy it at full price which is $20, I would only get it again on discount. Reason being I don't think it does much to even out my skin tone. I feel that my forehead is a bit darker than the rest of my cheeks so I was hoping this would even it out but I don't think that it does that great of a job honestly. I do like that it is light and not too heavy because I don't like heavy makeup at all. If you are looking for coverage, this is not the product to use. I didn't choose it for coverage, I chose it because I was looking for a BB cream and decided to start here. In conclusion it is a good product, but not exactly what I was looking for. I am using the matte it skin primer and I loveeee that. It's one of the best primers I've used and really helps in keeping your makeup from getting shiny and keeps it matte all day. That is something I would definitely recommend.

Okay so this is from our Colour Crush line, and I. Love. This. Lipstick. Seriously love it so much. It is the #301 color and it's like a bronze-brownish color. I was surprised at how well it complemented my complexion. I tend to wear this color with very nude eyes to kind of create a natural look with a dramatic flair. I actually got the Rihanna Viva Glam 2 lipstick which is very similar to this a few days after (review coming soon). The Viva Glam 2 is a bit more silver while this is more gold/bronze. Look out for a post with makeup looks that I create with this color very soon!

These aren't even half of the goodies that I got from my job, but I will be sure to review the items as I go along. Check out your local Body Shop, and if there isn't one near you, check it out online! So many amazing products in makeup, body care and skin care and there are always great sales! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Thanks so much for reading and stay tuned for upcoming posts! I promise not to go on a month hiatus again!

Until next time,

Current Nails: Manicurist of Seville by OPI

Hello there!

You already know what time it is, it's nail time! Yes, I did my nails over because they started chipping really early and I've been itching to do this color, so I caved. I am still working on my fall/winter lip faves, but I just started my new job (look forward to reviews of products from there very soon) and getting over being sick, so I haven't had time to sit and take all the pictures of the tube and the swatch and so on and so forth, but I will be doing it very soon! However, I didn't want to go on another hiatus, so I just did what I do best, a nail post! So, let's get into it!

So this is a color I mentioned in my Fall Nail Faves post. The color is called Manicurist of Seville by OPI. It is the perfect cranberry color for this time of year. It's also not too dark of a cranberry, it's like the perfect shade so you can tell that it is cranberry. I love this color, and obviously it is great polish because it is OPI. Check out my pictures below!

I hope you guys enjoyed the post! Definitely check out this color if you like it, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more exciting posts coming soon! Talk to you in my next post!

Current Nails: Purple Pleaser

Hey guys & happy Sunday!

I am back! It's been a crazy few weeks between school and looking for a job, which I found just in time for the holidays btw, being sick, and the stresses of senior year and deciding to pursue a career that is not what I've studied my collegiate career, the free time I did have I really wasn't trying to look at a computer, haha. My apologies!! However, I'm back with my favorite current nails post to share what color I just did my nails! I've barely been doing my nails, meaning they've been looking so busted. I also have a fall/winter lip favorites post coming soon so stay tuned!

Anyways, I did a color that I shared in my Fall Nail Faves post. It is by E.L.F. and is called Purple Pleaser. It's one of my favorites, obviously and very cheap! Check out my pictures below!

I hope y'all enjoyed the post! Thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Makeup of the Day!

Hey & happy Friday y'all!

I know one thing, I'm so glad it's Friday. I was trying to do this post yesterday but my email where I sent the pictures was acting weird so I couldn't. This is a bit of a different post, one that I've never done before. I decided to do a post on my makeup of the day. There is nothing really special about it, but I did use the NYX blush that I posted about a few days ago, and in that post I said I would follow up with how I liked it after I wore it. I figured I would just turn it into a makeup of the day...well technically yesterday post/review of the blush, so here goes!

This is everything that contributed to my makeup yesterday. This is nothing out of the ordinary for me honestly, the only thing that was new was the NYX blush. I typically wear bronzer instead. This is my usual makeup routine and though it looks like a lot, it isn't and it gives a very natural makeup look which I like. Sometimes I wear lipstick or a different lip color, but this is the pretty standard of what I wear everyday. It takes me no more than 15 minutes if that, and to some that is a long time, but I guess it's just apart of my daily getting ready routine. I don't wear highlighter everyday, but yesterday I was in the mood for it. The products I have here are eyeshadow, concealer, blush, eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss. Nothing special or complex.

Moving on to the blush, I really liked it! It was a bit brighter than I expected, but still subtle and natural looking. I guess with a name like Mocha, I was expecting a little darker. It lasted all day, it didn't wear off, but it really looked nice, I thought. Anyway, here are my few pictures of my makeup yesterday.

I like makeup that is very natural looking, I don't believe in caking it on. I think that everyone can get a natural but still noticeable look with simple makeup. I hope y'all enjoyed this post and I will do more makeup of the day posts. Until next time!

Current Nails: Gray Suede by Revlon

Hello there & happy Tuesday!

As you all know I can't seem to keep my nails the same color for a long time, so my nails are already a new color. This color is rather subtle, but I love it. It's called Gray Suede by Revlon. It's a nude color, and we all know I love nude beauty products, so you know I love it. Revlon polish is about $5-6 in drugstores. Sometimes it can even be around $8 depending on where you get it from. Anyway, hope you like the color, let me know what you think in the comments!

I hope you enjoyed the post! If you missed it, check out my last nail post here! Until next time!
